The room was nicely equipped.
Check-in procedure was awful. It has no reception. Customers need to call the customer service when they arrive at the hotel. After our call, it took 15-20 minutes to enter our room. We waited outside the hotel in the evening. The hotel should definitely review its check-in procedure.

There should be an easy way to contact the staff, other than by phone. If one does not have a cell phone, it becomes impossible, since there are no pay phones in Oslo!

It was a good value for money for four people attending a wedding for th weekend--hotels in the city were outrageous in price. The location was good for our events.
I think the apartment was very basic. It would be difficult to spend more than a few days there (there's no laundry machine), no iron, no microwave, no full length mirror etc. Everything was fine, but it wouldn't take much for the management to provide a little more for the convenience of guests. Also, the 11 am check-out time was a bit too early.

the place was very clean and comfortable; there was lots of space and everything what we needed (kitchen with full equipment, TV, internet, big table, comfortable sofa); location is also good as we could get almost everywhere by walking;
I found it rather inconvenient to call the number on the doors to pick up my key; the street is very noisy so when you call the number you can barely hear what the voicemail is saying (I had to guess and press at random); what if my mobile battery was out? there would not be a way to contact you to pick up the key - I believe that it would be best to pick up key from your office and then make the way to the apartment; also, when we were coming back from a walk, we met a couple standing in front of the building; they said that they were trying to contact the office and had been standing there for the last 20 minutes; I feel this is something that needs to be improved; also, the noise from the street is bit annoying, but at least our bedroom was located on the quiet end, so we didn't mind it that much;

The apartment was spacious and very comfortable and the girl in charge was very bright and bubbly. Parking was available underneath which was very useful. Fairly central location with tram stop outside front door.
On the booking info we were supposed to be able to book in from1pm but when phoned the contact number was told it was actually 2pm. Requested a remote control for the wide screen TV, still waiting for it to arrive. One bath towel each only so had to ask for more. Willingly given however.

The apartment was a great size. The bedrooms just a little small, however, the kitchen/living room was spacious. Our grandson especially enjoyed the large TV.
One towel for each person was not enough. They were on the small size and thin. A hand towel and a bath towel per person would have been more sufficient.

Quite big studio
They gave us a studio on the first floor and didn't care that we ordered an apartment with separate bedroom...they didn't change a room for us... Very bad service and staff - never met something terrible like this before for such price! They couldn't charge off money from a bank card...we should find some atm to pay by cash...Check-in is not comfortable -calling and waiting with luggage on the strange street... Not good district, far from city center... There is no promised washing machine..

It was very spacious and clean. It was tremendous value for the price.
There was an hour delay getting into the apartment we rented. The normal staff person was on vacation and the replacement staff was having a hard time getting people logged in to their rooms. When we arrived there was 4 groups ahead of us and the one gentleman we waited with had been there for 3 hours.

The Gruner Apartments were very conveniently located for the things we wanted to do and see in Oslo. They were clean and functional and it was very good to have the kitchen area to be able to self-cater as the prices charged in Oslo restaurants were prohibitive.
When we booked the apartment, I contacted the number given to let them know we would be arriving late at night as our flight times had been changed. We exchanged a few emails on the subject and I was told it would all be ok. However, when we arrived at the apartments at almost midnight in the torrential rain, we were greeted by a sign on the door that asked us to call a number to get keys. So, without a phone (no, not everyone carries a mobile phone everywhere!) we were completely stuck in the dead of night in the pouring rain. Fortunately, another family arrived and they were able to phone. After around 10 minutes, someone arrived to let us in. At no time during the correspondence I had with Gruner Apartments was I told that we would need to have a phone to gain access. This is totally unacceptable. It appears that there is never anyone on site - not even during the day. In this case, it would be sensible to have an intercom button rather than to ask guests to phone. Secondly, although the room was perfectly adequate, we had great difficulty working out how the cooker hob worked. Why put such a complicated hob into an apartment that will be used by several different people in a week??! Ridiculous. Anyway, we eventually found the instructions but it would have been nicer if we had been instructed on the cooker or even told where the instructions were when we arrived. I would only recommend this hotel on balance. The price and convenience probably outweigh the inconvenient aspects. However, please sort the arrival/key issue out - it is really not acceptable.
